Bacon, a lawyer and writer of many famous essays such as "Advancement of Learning" and "Novum Organum" Other important writings on inductive reasoning and the scientific method. He was elected to British Parliament at age 23. Became Solicitor General, Attorney General, Keeper of the Seal, Lord Chancellor. Bacon was Knighted, later convicted of accepting bribes, turned to writing for the rest of his life.
