Henry Victor Dyson Dyson (Hugo) was one of the first Inklings. It was Hugo Dyson who, along with Tolkien took the famous late night walk with C. S. Lewis which led to his conversion to Christianity. Tolkien left the walk at 3am and Dyson and Lewis walked and talked until 4am. Dyson co-wrote a book with John Butt and edited a book but this is the only one that he wrote exclusively. It was the Annual Shakespeare Lecture and was published in the Proceedings of the British Academy and also in booklet form. This is the booklet form.
