Inscribed first edition. William Elliott was an English Professor and missionary to Japan with the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society. The Collected Letters of C. S. Lewis show a letter written to Elliott in 1963. Apparently Elliott was translating Miracles into Japanese. Elliott's papers are at the University of Chicago Library. Clyde Kilby was the founder of the Marion E. Wade Center at Wheaton which is now the world's largest research center for C. S. Lewis and the Inklings. Tan cloth boards with black text on the front cover and spine. 192 pp. Photos by Gilbert. White dust wrapper with photo by Gilbert on the cover. The book is in near fine condition. Inscribed by Kilby to Elliott on the title page. The dust wrapper is VG- due to three closed tears of about one inch each and many rubs to the cover photo which detract from its beauty. Full refund if not satisfied. Shelley and Son Books specializes in C.S.Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkien & the Inklings
