First edition. Brown 18. Hooper A.9.This was Lewis' breakthrough book - the book that changed him from unknown to famous (along with his radio broadcasts.) The book contains letters of advice from a senior demon to a trainee, teaching him how to tempt people to sin. Lewis did no research for the book. The ideas came entirely from self-examination.Black cloth boards with a label on the spine which contains author and title. 160 pp.At the very extremities of the black cloth a bit of white wear is showing. On the first page an owner's name in ink - there apparently has been an attempt to erase it. The final leaf is wrinkled, likely from the publisher. The book is VG. Lacking dust wrapper.Full refund if not satisfied. Shelley and Son Books specializes in C.S.Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkien & the Inklings.
