"Authorized as the official song book of the Progressive Party." After serving 2 terms as president, Theodore Roosevelt decided against running for a third term and instead backed Howard Taft as the Republican candidate in the 1908 elections. However, after disagreements with Taft over policies, Roosevelt ran again in 1912, instigating the Progressive, or "Bull-Moose" Party. This pamphlet contains the music and words for patriotic and progressive songs, as well as a layout of the party platform and essays in favor of Roosevelt and his running mate, Hiram W. Johnson. Stapled wraps. Covers and pages lightly toned. Some pages with creased corners. Full refund if not satisfied.
