Gilt lettering and decoration on spines. Gilt top edge and uncut fore edge. Each volume has an attractive bookplate of an owner. This set first came out in 1896 in 8 volumes. This set from 1912 is uncommon. Bindings are tight and the books are attractive. Mild external wear, particularly at corners. Spines are faded. On a shelf, this set spans 12.5 inches.
