This was funded by the Ford Motor Company. These pieces of art were exhibited at the Solomon P. Guggenheim Museum in New York from February 6 - June 3, 1998; and at the Guggenheim Museum Bilboa In Spain during the summer of 1998. It included exhibits of jade, bronze, lacquer, textiles, grave goods, ceramics, sculpture, calligraphy, and painting along. The book includes extensive written cultural history for each art and craft. Exhibition catalog.
