New York: Fred DeFau & Company, 1910. Hardcover. This beautifully bound set of Robert Browning's works was limited to 100 sets, of which this set is number 69. Twelve octavo volumes, 8 1/2 x 5 5/8 in; 218 x 142 mm. Publishers three-quarter brown morocco gilt over brown silk boards with gilt inlaid flowers inlaid in the spine compartments, gilt lettering on spine and five raised bands. Photogravure plates throughout, including frontispieces in two states. Top page edges are gilt. Marbled endpapers. There is an inscription dated 1911 on front free endpaper in volume 1, no other writing appears in this set. All books are in Near Fine condition except for Volume 6 which has a small amount of moisture staining on the bottom of the front cover (but not the spine) and Volume 7 which shows a little damage to one of the raised bands. These two books still in "Very Good +" condition. Volume 12 has a triangular shaped stain on the front silk/moire cover about an inch long.
