In the 1880s Lothrop published a large number of MacDonald books, all in matching green bindings with a geometric device on both the front cover and spine. This book is part of that matched set. Green cloth boards with title in black below which is a red and gilt device. On the top of the spine the title is in gilt. 776 pp. followed by ads. Not quite very good with a cracked hinge at the front cover. Wear on all outer edges. Text block is solidly holding together. Owner's name in pencil on the second leaf. Full refund if not satisfied. Shelley and Son Books specializes in C.S.Lewis, J.R.R.Tolkien & the Inklings. Very Good - / No Jacket.
