Inception of the Missions 1769-1800"; "Golden Age of the Missions. 1800-1830"; and "Secularization. Death of the Missions. 1830-1848". Part II: "Habits and Customs of the Mexicans and Indians". Part III: "The Missions at the Present Time. Condition of the Ruins". Contains list of illustrations. Also contains advertisements for additional publications of The Whitaker & Ray Company at the back, unpaginated. Indexed. [xv] 189 pp. Protected by a mylar cover. Covers show some wear. Front hinge is loosening, yet remains firmly affixed and binding is sound. Some foxing throughout. Previous owner Terry Ruscin is also the author of “Mission Memoirs: A Collection of Photographs, Sketches & Reflections of California’s Past.†His circular ex-libre mark is blindstamped on the front flyleaf.
