not stated, 1969? First Edition. Hardcover. This is an exceedingly rare book which is listed in World Cat but it shows that no libraries have a copy. In World Cat, after the title, in brackets, it says [Restoring a living American heritage in the Valley of the Oaks.] Title page reads MISSION / SAN ANTONIO / de PADUA / JOLON . CALIFORNIA. Then at the very bottom of the page is "COPY NO. ..... LIMITED EDITION...................... Beneath the last series of does in small caps its says FATHER ALFRED. No information is filled in. No date or publisher. We are not sure the book was ever published.
13.75" x 10.5". 27 unpaginated pages. Black cloth on tan paper boards with a full page drawing of the mission on the front. Laid paper. Heavily illustrated.
This book is from the library of the late Terry Ruscin who wrote a book about California missions, did photography for other books about the missions and designed dust jackets for books about missions.
A minor bump on the top edge of the boards. Ruscin's circular blind stamp on the first blank page. No writing in the book. Near Fine / No Jacket as Issued.
