The full title page is as shown for this listing. Title page says is was printed for Jacob Tonson but ESTC says this was a false imprint. It was actually printed by Abel Roper. ESTC T37018. Dated 1710. 16 pp.
The second section is titled The Bishop of Salisbury’s and the Bishop of Oxford’s Speeches in the House of Lords on the First Article of Impeachment of Dr. Henry Sacheverell; and also The Bishop of Lincoln’s and Bishop of Norwich’s Speeches at the Opening of the Second Article of the said Impeachement. Dated MDCCX (1710) and printed by John Morphew. ESTC T22851. The first two speeches are on eleven pages. Then there is a new title page dated 1710 and printed by John morphew. This section contains 12 pages.
The third section is titled The Tryal of Dr. Sacheverell, Before The House of Peers for High Crimes and Misdemeanors; Upon an Impeachement by the…. Published by order of the House of Peers. Printed for Jacob Tonson. ESTC 221039 except this copy has 335 pages, not 327. The spelling notes mentioned in ESTC are present in this copy.
The fourth section has a half title page reading THE LORDS PROTEST. The title page reads The Names of the Right Honourable Peers Who protested against Some Proceedings in the Case of Dr. Henry Sacheverell Together with Their Lorships Reasons for Such Their Protestation. Printed in the Year 1710. No publisher stated. ESTC T39553. 8 pages.
The fifth section has a half title page reading COLLECTION OF ADDRESSES. The title page reads: A Collection of the Addresses Which have been Presented to the Queen, Since the Impeachment of the Reverend Dr. Henry Sacheverell. Printed by John Morphew. Dated 1710. ESTC T685.
After this there is a one page index, unpaginated. That is followed by An exact List of the Members of the Honourable House of Commons, for England and Wales, who, in some or other of the Questions upon the Impeachment of Dr. Henry Sacheverell for High Crimes and Misdemeanors, voted for and against him. That is list is four pages at the bottom of which it states Printed in the Year 1710.
Quarter leather on leather boards. Boards appear to be contemporary to 1710. Boards quite worn. Binding solid. Lacks portrait frontispiece. Quite a decent copy. Very Good.
