Contains The New Testament. Full leather in dark blue, cover is heavily ornamented with gilt tooling. Spine is divided by flat, gilt hubs adorned with gilt ornamentation and lettering. All edges gilt. Inner cover edges are decorated with gilt tooling. Endpapers are marbled black and a purplish pink. Textblock is unpaginated, yet denoted by sections and chapters in roman numerals at the top of each page. Copy is lovely, yet shows wear. Occasional annotation in the margins in pencil. Bookplates from previous owners are affixed to the front pastedown. A handwritten, numbered label, presumed from the period, is affixed to the bottom of the spine.
