Indexed. 609 pp. Ex-library with library label at the foot of the spine, and a stamp for "The Library at St. Edmund's College" on a front endpaper. Cover shows moderate wear and leaves have lightly, evenly toned with very little foxing. Pages turn effortlessly. Hinges are strong and binding is sound. LAPIDE: (1567-1637) Lapide was a Flemish Catholic priest. He was a Jesuit and exegete of Sacred Scripture. Born a Bocholt in Belgian Limburg, he studied humanities and philosophy at the Jesuit colleges of Maastricht and Cologne. Lapide wrote commentaries on all the books of the Catholic Canon of Scripture, including the deuterocanonical books, except the Book of Job and the Psalms. (Wikipedia). Very Good.
