Geneva: Unknown, 1585. Hardcover. LATIN TEXT. Translated partial title: "The New Shell of the Catholic Mind, an Ecclesiastical Exposition of Approved Theologians, Whom the Lord of the Church Has Given to the Various Groups..."
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Augustin Marlorat was a French Protestant reformer (1506-1562) placed in an Augustinian monastery at the age of eight. He approved the rigidly Calvinistic procedure of excommunication and resigned after a brief time in Geneva as pastor of an Evangelical congregation. Upholding the Protestant Church's petition to Charles IX in 1560 and a later petition to Catharine de'Medici, he was chosen as a spokesman of the Protestants. Ultimately, Marlorat was executed on a treason charge in 1562. (Wikipedia).
