The facsimile of the "Rinder" Copy of "Jerusalem" was printed n deep etched gravure by Aulard & CIE., Master Printers in Paris. The frontispiece was reproduced in collotype by Daniel Jacomet & CIE., Paris. The Book was designed by Arnold Fawcus and printed in 1952 by Berthod & CIE., Borg, Ain. This is the first complete edition containing the text of "Jerusalem" in letter press with a facsimile of the engraved book. The edition is limited to 2,500 copies. This volume is presented by the Blake Trust as a companion volume to the color facsimile of the "Stirling" copy, published in a limited edition of 500 copies. Bound in burgundy publisher's cloth, covers are plain with gilt lettering on the spine. Top edge gilt. Includes a facsimile of the "Rinder" copy in 100 plates, together with preceding 116 page text of Jerusalem in letter press. Frontispiece in collotype protected by a tissue leaf. The "Rinder" copy, which is here superbly reproduced in deep-etched engraving by Alard of Paris, was etched in black ink. It includes ten full-page illustrations, forty-five half-page plates and forty-five pages decorated with designs. The text of Jerusalem in letterpress has been corrected and entirely reset. Forward by Geoffrey Keynes. Dust jacket is a dark beige with brown lettering and illustration. Protected with mylar cover.
CONDITION: Book is VG with some discoloration within endpapers and lightly foxed along textblock foredge. DJ is also VG with some chipping at corners and several open tears at the head of the back cover, and closed diagonal tear along the top 1/3, and a .75 inch open tear at the foot of the spine. Completely unmarked, hinges are strong and binding is sound. Plates are magnificent. A lovely, scarce copy. Full refund if not satisfied. Very Good / Very Good.
