The printed sermons number close to 4,000, but there is no exact record available. They were published weekly as a "Penny Pulpit" pamphlet, then released in book form at the end of year. The first six volumes, called "The New Park Street Pulpit", cover the early years of Spurgeon's ministry at the New Park Street Chapel, 1855-1860; the fifty-six succeeding volumes published under the title The Metropolitan Tabernacle Pulpit. This collection covers C.H. Spurgeon's thirty-two year ministry at the Metropolitan Tabernacle in London from 1861. The entire series of sermons, completely unabridged, is published in 62 yearly volumes from 1855 through 1916, many published posthumously. Frontispiece, Contents, xii, 632 pp.

CONDITION: Black hardbound covers, gilt title and design on spine. Numbers written on endpaper; no other writing within. Violet and cream illustrated jacket entitled on front and spine. On rear jacket cover is the life of Spurgeon in 1961 and the life circumstances he experienced during the writing and delivery of his sermons. Tears to upper edge at corner, small areas missing top and bottom of spine. Normal shelf wear. Full refund if not satisfied. Very Good / Very Good.
