The Eternal Lover
New York: Grosset & Dunlap Publishers, 1925. Reprint. Hardcover. "The creator of 'Tarzan' carries his readers back to the Stone Age and shows a mighty hunter of that time, armed with flint-tipped spear and stone ax and knife, bringing down the mighty saber-tooth tiger, fighting single-handed the mostere cave bears and other huge animals and reptiles of that tertiary period. [...] The author has blended the two ages in a very realistic picture of prehistoric men and days, as a contrast to the present, and it makes enchanting reading." (From the dust jacket). Bound in red publisher's cloth with black lettering on the cover and spine. 316 pp. Advertisements for additional books at the back. Illustrated dust jacket is in full color.
CONDITION: External cover shows very little wear and binding is solid. Leaves have lightly toned with some discoloration within the endpapers and along the foredge. Unmarked. DJ shows some soiling and 1.5" closed tear at the spine with some chipping along the extremities, yet illustration is still bold and delightful with that vintage feel. A nice copy. Full refund if not satisfied. Very Good + / Very Good.
