Divorce (First Edition. Likely Colin Hardie's Copy.)
London, etc. Humphrey Milford, Oxford University Press, 1920. First Edition. Hardcover. This is a book of poetry. This book was purchased at auction in a lot with 7 other books by Charles Williams. Two of the books had Colin Hardie's name in them as he was the owner. Most of the books have a two or three letter "code" written inside the back cover. This one has "DXC". We are quite certain that this book belonged to Colin Hardie, but I cannot prove it. Colin Hardie was an Inkling. There were approximately sixteen people at C. S. Lewis' funeral - Colin Hardie was one of them.
First edition. Glenn 1.A.v.3. Green cloth boards with the title in gilt on the front cover and text on the spine in gilt as well. 120 pp. Dust wrapper is white with black text.
CONDITION: Book is VG with foxing inside the covers and on the top edge. Dust wrapper is VG due to soiling and a couple small chips at the bottom edge (see image).
