In 1870 The Anglican church authorized the first revision of the King James Bible. The new version was called the Revised Version (not the Revised Standard Version.) Of course the revised version was highly controversial. So some printings, like this one, contained both the King James Version and the Revised version. In this Bible they are presented in parallel columns.
The title page is in black and red. Verso is the names and order of the books of the Old and New Testaments. Next is History of the translation of the English Bible [9], 10, 11.
